Hand-copied (while omitting all texts or additional information about the portraits), on 1:1 scale, of the portaits of thehistorically most important women as seen between the period 1950-1974 in the East-German encyclopeadia “Die Frau” (The Woman).
The tension between the image and caption is at the foreground, underlying what happens to those portraits without their names, and without the political and social contexts.

The strategy of collecting and exhibiting the encyclopeadia reinforces the investigation of the printed image, offering several issues of the book under vitrine, looking at the distorsion and defaults of the print.
